Eye bag gone bad (= tear trough ?)

Post by Mastafit »

Hi everyone,

I've had this line in my face/cheek since I was 17 (I'm 29 now) and I'd love to get rid of it and have a smooth face.
It's been bugging the hell out of me.
Today I sat in line at the hair dresser just looking in the mirror with a couple of people who were all older than me, yet none of them had this and as usual, I felt ashamed about it.
Here's a picture:

EDIT: deleted my photo for privacy reasons.

I think it's caused by genetic predisposition + smoking heavily for 13 years + rapidly dropping/gaining weight a couple times.
I'm avoiding these last two things now :)

It's about the line which runs from the corner of my eye down my cheek.
I'd appreciate any advice you guys can give me..

Thanks !
David

Read this whole section about tear troughs: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=170

A tear trough creates a shadow - it looks like a dark circle below the eye. Yours is not a really dark circle though. But it does make you look older than you are. You are only 29 years old, and you did not have that circle under your eyes when you were much younger.

"I think it's caused by genetic predisposition + smoking heavily for 13 years + rapidly dropping/gaining weight a couple times."

You might have a slight predisposition toward a tear trough - most of us do. But it's nothing like the predisposition that men and women have who come from India and Southern Italy. Smoking heavily for 13 years and rapidly dropping and gaining weight a couple times can cause tear trough problems though. I'm glad to hear you stopped that.

Dermatologists will tell you that volume loss or fat loss in the area means you need a filler. Fillers do help to fill in the valleys. However (a big however) is they have to be done every nine months or so. I think the natural method that I recommend is much more effective than a filler. Read the thread that I gave you a link to several times. I think you'll find the information in it will make complete sense.

One more thing - a filler is quick; the results of facial exercise done correctly are not quick. They are long-lasting though. You'll be happy with what you see when you look into the mirror.

No tear trough, no dark circle
