Re: How many, how often?

You wrote, " I also can't yet do the combination of raising the forehead and then contracting the scalp..." I don't know what you mean. The scalp never contracts. You contract the frontalis muscles, then you contract the occipitalis muscles. When you do this alternating contraction of the scalp musc...

Re: How many, how often?

Happy New Year to you too, Epona. I often make suggestions about repetitions and sets on my website. People when they start a program want some guidance. But after you work with a program for a period of time you establish your own schedule of reps and sets. You know what feels good, but don't do to...

Re: Potential reasons for the efficiency of the scalp exercise

Skin layers.jpg Fred, you said that muscle doesn't cover the top of the scalp. That of course is true. But there is still blood flow in the crown area. Look at this drawing of the skin. You'll see in the subcutaneous layer (beneath the epidermis and the dermis) there are capillaries. My unscientifi...

Re: Potential reasons for the efficiency of the scalp exercise

I was not aware of https://perfecthairhealth.com It's a valuable website, full of solid information written by someone who has studied in depth many aspects of hair growth and hair loss. I like Robert English's use of "perimeter muscles." It's a lot more user-friendly than occipitalis and frontalis....

Re: Potential reasons for the efficiency of the scalp exercise

Fred, I'm glad that you posted some of the thinking of Robert English. I agree with him but I'd like to add some information in order to clarify my ideas. Tomorrow I'm going to write an article and post it here. It's too bad you did not post your message on my hairloss is reversible site. I'll try t...

Re: How to do the scalp exercise correctly

The scalp exercise: When you contract the frontalis muscle, don't contract the procerus muscle (the frowning muscle). You do not want to knit your eyebrows when you do the scalp exercise. Just do a quick contraction of the frontalis and then a longer and stronger contraction of the occipitalis. Don'...

Re: White diet...

I know you asked an entirely different question which I'm not qualified to answer. But here is an article about a "magic" fix to facial skin. Many of these new tricks that improve your teeth and skin actually do more harm than good. Here is an informative article about dermarolling, and about how th...

Re: How to do the scalp exercise correctly

The two major scalp muscles, the frontalis and the occipitalis, are antagonistic muscles. When one contracts the other one relaxes automatically . So there is no need to consciously relax the eyebrows. My suggestion is to contract the frontalis muscles at the front of the head quickly (a flash contr...
