Tom, Congrats on a fantastic site, once again. Great work. I would like to hear your thoughts on your "shaping" strategy. Is it just an all out face building routine, or the choice of the type of exercise is based on the specific "present" of your face? In other words, is it like: "I need more bulk in the lips-mouth area so I should do more of Exercise#2" or "Use the complete set of exercises in an all out face flexing routine till things reach their natural balance"? I am so glad this place exists. Thank you. |

ShapeYourFate: I don't think you can pinpoint a "weak" area on your face and then direct a specific exercise to tone up that area. It's similar to spot reducing. If you're fat around the middle, you can't expect to lose the bulge by just doing crunches; you have to exercise your whole body to lose total calories. In other words, just as there is no such thing as spot reducing, there is no such thing as toning up only one area of the face. Exercise One - for Muscles Under the Eyes - though, might be an exception. This exercise does firm up those muscles (orbicularis oculi) around the eyes. It also decreases or even eliminates "hooded" eyelids. My recommendation is to do all five exercises, taking it easy at first, just concentrating on the proper form. |
