In doing the facial exercises, how many repetition you you usually do? Is there a certain exercise that you would do more repetitions - for example, the exercise for the mouth muscles? At what speed you you usually perform the exercises? I try to do them using good form. This slows down the pace. Is this OK? |

Florence R: There is no magic number of repetitions that you should perform in any of the exercises. I usually do several sets of 50 reps. And I do these reps at a moderate pace paying attention to doing the exercises right - that is using good form. There is never any need to break speed records while doing the exercises. When doing the mouth exercise, don't stretch the mouth and don't try to purse the lips too much when contracting them. You do not need much movement in this exercise for it to have a beneficial effect. I think holding the contraction for a few seconds in some of the repetitions helps speed up the toning and strengthening process. In women especially, this exercise will give a pleasing shape to the mouth. |
