How many repetitions a day do you advise for exercise 4? |

Roos: I do a lot of repetitions of this exercise that targets the muscles at the front of the neck. I never count reps though. If I did count them, it would probably be 4 sets of 25 reps. As you get older, this is the area that deteriorates fast unless you take corrective measures. Exercise four is a great corrective measure if it's done right. The most important part of "right" is keeping the tongue pressed against the roof of the mouth. |

Can you tell me what exactly is meant by "move the chin toward the neck? I presume this is done with the head elevated, mouth closed, tongue pressed to the roof of the mouth, but how does one move the chin toward the neck in this position? Is this a chin retraction or a lowering? |

Brent C: I probably should have described the exercise as moving the head up and down. Always stress good form while doing this exercise, keeping the tongue pressed against the roof of the mouth. The front of the neck is the first place that starts to deteriorate as a person gets older. This exercise keeps the neck looking young. |

Thank you, Thomas. I presumed moving the head up and down (and exaggerated "yes" motion) was what you meant, but I just wanted to be sure. |
